Prime Minister Robert Abela inaugurated the second phase of Malta National Park in Ta Qali with an investment of € 15 million.
With an emphasis on quality of life, the Prime Minister reiterated that Government policy must be centered around the need for everyone in our country to feel better living.
“It simply came to our notice then. Because the quality of life depends on many factors. Opportunities for all, employment, education and health service among others. But also central, there is a time for relaxation and here we are giving one of the best places for families to rest. ”
Referring to the ongoing works in this area, including the crafts village which has reached its final stages, the Central Link, Buqana and Għeriexem, the Prime Minister stated that these are evidence of as in this country we want and will continue to reach new levels.
“These are projects that will benefit all Maltese. Therefore, it was appropriate to invest millions of euros so that not only will families find a beautiful environment here, but we will have revived this space that can now be used both in the morning and in the evening.”
The Prime Minister concluded with the vision that this Government has for our country. An aspiring vision that this project will no longer be the biggest because much more ambitious projects will be carried out.
“What we are inaugurating today is a certificate of credibility. It is proof of our willingness to invest in a better environment. The guarantee of how we will achieve a better quality of life for all in the future. ”
Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects Ian Borg recalled how this area, until a few years ago, was a concrete factory without any use and in a state of abandonment. He said that this government was one that took action and chose to instead of regenerating this area for industrial use chose to create a national dream for which the people had long been thirsty.
“Just as we inaugurated the Adventure Park a few months ago, the work has intensified and today we are inaugurating the second phase of this environmental project. As many as sixty football pitches, we are giving the Maltese and Gozitan people the biggest environmental investment our country has ever seen. We believe that the Maltese and the Gozitans deserve everything that is best because this government cares about families, young people, the elderly, children. And so I would especially like to thank the Department of Public Works who have worked tirelessly over the last five years to continue to beautify our localities with spaces open to families and our children. So, I look forward to adding more open spaces in the next few days. “The second phase included investment in works that include landscaping through the installation and fitting of landscaping amounting to one million euros, new paving, rehabilitation of the fountain and amphitheater and installation of lighting systems. ‘artificial intelligence.
An area where works of art and sculpture installations can be exhibited has also been created.
