Community Policing service extended to more localities

Community Policing service extended to the whole of Gozo and seven other localities in Malta – In two years, this service is operating in 63% of Maltese towns and villages

The Community Policing service is being extended to the whole of Gozo and to seven other localities in Malta: St. Lucia, Paola, St. Paul’s Bay, Lija, Iklin, Attard, and Ħal Balzan. This means that now this service is operating in 63% of Maltese towns and villages.

The Minister of the Interior, National Security and Law Enforcement Byron Camilleri explained that with the service of Community Policing we are having more proactive police, and closer to the people. All of this is embedded in the vision that Police Force officers operate in the heart of the community, working hand in hand with society at large.
