During a ceremony held at the Cottonera Sports Complex, the Small Countries Games were launched to be held in Malta between the 28th of May and the 3rd of June next year. This is the third time that Malta has hosted these games since their inception in 1985.
This is another occasion through which we are raising the profile of our country in the world of sports, when for these games will be here in Malta over 1,200 participants and an official from the small European states, compete in a number of sports including athletics, basketball, judo, 7’s rugby, boarding, shooting, squash, swimming, table tennis and tennis.
“The government is proud not only because a prestigious sporting event will be held in our country, but also because this is the third time that these games are being held in Malta,” said the Minister for Education and Sport.
