In 2021 the Gozo Teleworking Scheme incentivized 72 Gozitan workers
Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri has officially visited Apex Fund Services Ltd in Birkirkara which is one of the companies that employs Gozitan employees and benefits from the Gozo Teleworking Scheme.
Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri said that “the Gozo Teleworking Scheme is now in its third year, and I can confirm that this scheme will continue to be eligible for the next two years. Apex Fund Services Ltd is offering teleworking to 7 Gozitan workers through this scheme. It is worth mentioning that the Gozo Teleworking Scheme has so far incentivized the application of Teleworking to 54 Gozitan workers in Malta in 2020 and that they have risen to 72 in 2021. “
Ronald Sultana, Director for Tourism and Economic Development at the Ministry for Gozo, explained that Apex Fund Services Ltd has been given financial support in terms of the purchase of technological equipment as well as recurrent reimbursement support. part of the salary of these workers.
Since the beginning of the scheme, ie in 2020, the Ministry for Gozo has financed around € 150,000 in reimbursement linked to the Gozo Teleworking Scheme.
Minister Camilleri concluded by saying that this scheme is among the incentives that the Ministry for Gozo is taking in order to further increase employment in Gozo and for Gozitans.
