In Strasbourg to attend a memorial service for David Sassoli, Prime Minister took time tell journalists that he was backing MEP Roberta Metsola’s bid for Presidency of the European Parliament.
“I would like to wish Roberta Metsola good luck and that she may succeed in her candidacy. I’m sure from tomorrow we can speak about her proudly as the President of the European Parliament.”
Election takes place on Tuesday 18th January.
