Police say that following the arrest of the alleged suspect in the Independence Garden murder, he was taken to Mater Dei Hospital to be seen by doctors and from there he was referred to Mount Carmel Hospital.
Therefore, at this stage the Police had to suspend the suspect’s interrogations.
The victim has been identified as Paulina Maria Dembska, 29, a Polish national. She was staying at a hostel in Sliema and was in Malta as a student.
