Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects Ian Borg presented the warrant to 48 engineers. On this occasion, the Minister stressed the importance and responsibility that this profession carries with it and encouraged those present to carry out their tasks in the most professional way.
“Today, apart from being the result of years of study by these engineers, it is also a demonstration of how this government has continued to perform. I would like to remind you of the important revision made on the legislation of the engineering profession, where previously you had students who completed the course and could not apply for the warrant. It was this government that said that this is not acceptable and with a process and even consultations, even with boards of a certain prestige such as the German ASIIN, we found a solution to these injustices that were being done to these students. ” said Minister Ian Borg.
The Minister ended his speech by congratulating the new engineers on their careers.
Deputy Chairman of the Board of Engineers Keith Chetcuti spoke about the importance of engineering in the development of the country. He explained how ethics should shape the career of every engineer and reminded all those who were receiving the warrant of the responsibility that they will start carrying from now on. Congratulations on the career of every engineer and engineer present at the ceremony.
