Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi scored as a much-changed Liverpool side became the first Premier League team ever to win all six group games.
After Tomori put Milan in front to keep alive the Italian club’s faint hope of qualification, Liverpool showed their class with a goal in each half to become the first English club to win all six of their Champions League group matches.
Incidently AC Milan were the first club to achieve such a feat in the 1992/1993 season.
Among Tuesday night’s other matches, already qualified Manchester City were beaten by RB Leipzig and Inter reached the last 16 despite a loss to Group D leaders Real Madrid.
Tonight, already qualified as Group F winners Manchester United face Young Boys.
In Group F, Chelsea, already through as group winners, travel toZenit St Petersburgh while second placed Juventus are home to Malmo.
