On the initiative of the National Celebrations Foundation (NCF), a memorial, by sculptor Joseph G. Scerri, was inaugurated in honour of Malta’s first Prime Minister Joseph Howard,
The memorial was inveiled by Prime Minister Robert Abela, Minister for National Heritage, Arts and Local Government José Herrera and a family member of the former Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Robert Abela noted how such ceremonies are beautiful because we remember and remember what those who came before us did. “Those who, thanks to their work, today can speak of a modern, independent country, a republic and a member of the European Union.”
