Opposition Leader Bernard Grech gave his reaction to last week’s Budget slamming a number of measures announced by Finance Minister Clyde Caruana.
He said the budget was without vision for the future, from a government of bluff and lies.
Bernard Grech said a Nationalist Party government would increase the tax ceiling for high earners, pensions would increase two-fold compared to workers, front line workers would get a substantial bonus.
The cost of living index, COLA, would be overhauled, student stipends would be increased by 25% and the minimum wage would be go up.
The Nationalist Party leader promised a free doctor service for everyone over the age of 60 and for young people aged between 16 and 21, a €500 voucher for a holiday in a European country.
