The Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) will invest € 400,000 in a project consisting of a design and a new lighting installation on the façade of the Collegiate Church of the Virgin Mary in Naxxar.
Work is expected to be carried out on the main façade, the four bell towers as well as the side elevations. This project is designed to allow the architectural legibility of the church.
These details were announced at a press conference by the Minister for Tourism and Consumer Protection Clayton Bartolo in the presence of the Chief Executive of the Malta Tourism Authority Johann Buttigieg and the Archpriest of the Collegiate Church Mary Child Dun David Gauci.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Clayton Bartolo pointed out that this investment is a clear demonstration of how much this government is looking at a future for tourism that everyone enjoys.
