With a capital investment of more than € 200,000, the non-governmental organization ‘Embrace Diversity’ has opened a new home in Baħar iċ-Ċaġġaq for children with disabilities.
The Minister for Inclusion and Quality of Life Julia Farrugia Portelli visited this center and saw the work that has been done and is still going on on the spot as well as the services that are provided.
The President of the NGO Claudette Curmi explained that the new investment was opened last July and saw a villa in Baħar iċ-Ċaġġaq transformed into a center from which children with different disabilities are given the necessary services. Services are currently being provided to 30 different families.
Minister Julia Farrugia Portelli said that this organization offers a better quality of life to children and is also beneficial for parents who are using this service.
She said that this private investment continues to demonstrate the national collective commitment to offer children with disabilities interesting programs and to stimulate children with different disabilities.
The ‘Embrace Diversity’ organization is run by parents who all have children with disabilities and it exudes the true love and dedication they are giving to both the children and the organization to continue to help more families.
Children are offered therapeutic, sensory, drama, art and dance services among others.
