With an investment of € 106,000, the Eco Gozo Directorate within the Ministry for Gozo will be financing the restoration works on the two bell towers and parts of the façade of the Church of Santa Maria Assunta. in Olives.
This was announced at a press conference by the Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri, where he stressed that as has happened with other parishes, the Government is serving as a shoulder for the Church to also see that the historical heritage of our country is preserved. .
This contribution will help with the restoration of the two bell towers — works involving the demolition and reconstruction of existing bell towers, the replacement of parts of the entablature, the framing and the restoration of other damage to the facade suffered over the years.
