Police have arrested a suspect with an attempted murder that happened on August 6 in Sliema.
A joint operation by Sliema District Police and the Homicide Squad led to the arrest of a 37-year-old Libyan man on Sunday evening.
When he was apprehended he was found in possession of substances believed to be cocaine. Officers searched his residence and found more of what they believed to be cannabis and cocaine and ecstasy.
The victim, a 21-year-old Englishman from Birkirara, suffered stab wounds during the attack.
Police say the accused is expected to appear in court later today.
