33 officers who had served for 25 years and over were today appointed as Reserve Police Constables during a brief ceremony at the Police General Headquarters in Floriana.
This was the first group of Reserved Police Officers who undertook a vast training course at the Academy for Disciplined Forces prior to their appointment. During his speech the Commissioner made reference to the Transformation Strategy and emphasized on offering a professional service and make their part to gain public trust.
Commissioner Gafà also thanked the officers for despite already serving for so many years, for the love they have for the job and the love for their country, they had returned back to serve as “Once a police officer, always a police officer”.
