A 48-year-old Sicilian who lives in Malta was arrested on Friday afternoon by Sliema District Police in connection with cocaine drug trafficking after days of observation on a residence in Sir Charles Cameron Street, Gzira.
After he was arrested, a search was conducted at the residence, as well as in his vehicle, where officers found around
20 sachets of suspected cocaine and about €3,000 in cash.
The man is being held in the Police lock-up at Headquarters, Floriana and is expected be brought to Court tomorrow.
