President of Malta George Vella has said that the publication of the report from the public inquiry into the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia should start a process of national healing following the trauma of her assassination.
The recommendation in the report needed to be respected and where possible implemented, he said.
President Vella said he listened to what was said at the press conferences of the Prime Minister Robert Abela and the Leader of the Opposition Bernard Grech and felt that he should join them in expressing sorrow for all that had led to the assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.
