With reference to the statement issued by the High Representative and Vice President of the European Commission Josep Borell on the situation in Varosha, Malta expresses its concern at any unilateral actions that render UNSC resolutions meaningless and undermine the work of the United Nations.
Peace, security and, above all, stability in the entire Mediterranean region remain essential and are in the strategic interest of all for the further enhancement of cooperation and exchanges at all levels.
