English language schools are to close from July 14.
This new measure, among others, was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne who was speaking to journalists following a sharp rise in new cases this past week.
He was joined by Professor Charmaine Gauci, Superintendent of Public Health as further measures were announced with regard to people arriving in Malta.
From 14 July, anyone arriving on the island must produce a recognised vaccination certificate from either Malta, the UK or the European Union.
