Prime Minister Robert Abela handed over the responsibilities of the Parliamentary Secretariat for Civil Rights and Reforms to Minister Owen Bonnici.
Minister Bonnici will now be in charge of the Ministry of Equality, Research and Innovation with new responsibilities added to existing ones, including the coordination of the post-Covid-19 strategy.
Civil rights, equality, and reforms in these areas remain at the heart of this government’s work and in the future these areas will continue to be prioritized with a view to Maltese society continuing to be a living example of how everyone should be valued equally and given equal opportunities.
The Ministry of Justice, Equality and Governance will now be called the Ministry of Justice and Governance.
