Over 550 people with disabilities will be enjoying various landscaping and maintenance projects that will be underway in the various buildings of Aġenzija Sapport, including day centers and residences in Malta and Gozo. This is as a result of an agreement signed between the Support Agency and the Cleaning Department within the Parliamentary Secretariat for Consumer Protection and Public Cleanliness. The agreement is spread over a period of three years, until the end of 2023.
The Minister for Inclusion and Quality of Life Julia Farrugia Portelli said that through this agreement it is being ensured that the maintenance, beautification and cleaning works will be continuous and programmed. “The environment in which you live, work or spend substantial hours of the day makes a big difference in the quality of life you live. We are ensuring that this environment is adequate, modern and attractive for both people with disabilities living in the nine residences in Malta and one in Gozo and those attending the 10 day centers. in Malta and one in Gozo, as well as for employees. The day centers are attended by 465 people with disabilities, while the residences of the Support Agency are home to 47 people with disabilities. I am convinced that through this agreement we will continue to improve their quality of life. “
