At a press conference, the Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri launched the international promotional campaign under the umbrella of the VisitGozo site. This is part of the work of the Maltese Government in order to promote Gozo on the tourist map for the coming months.
The campaign being implemented focuses inter alia on tourists from European countries, such as Germany, the Scandinavian market and other countries in central and western Europe.
The Minister for Gozo said that, “The promotional campaign is a wide one where we are operating on all possible platforms, both digital and traditional. Among other things, we will see that on the trams in Berlin and even in Frankfurt there will be a VisitGozo advertisement and a campaign on social media, television and even places frequented by thousands of people. ” All this is being done against the background of extensive work on the official VisitGozo website, with a modern look and offering more information on various tourist niches in Gozo.
Minister Clint Camilleri explained that Gozo has also attracted the attention of many other sites as for another year it was given a high ranking in the Quality Coast Awards, so much so that it reached the maximum of points in the Gold Destinations category. He added that the tourism sector is one of the most important pillars in the Gozitan economy and said that to strengthen it, many infrastructural works have been carried out on this island together with many investments and projects including the Fast Ferry. .
