A man died while working on cars in a garage in Mellieha.
At around 2.30pm police received a report that smoke was coming from a garage in Triq l-Iżbark tal-Franċiżi, Mellieħa.
They found an unconscious man inside the garage. He was given medical assistance on the spot and taken to Mater Dei Hospital but unfortunately died shortly afterwards.
In a separate accident a worker died in a four storey fall from the roof of a factory in Hal Far Industrial Estate.
The accident happened shortly before midday.
