During a visit to The Embassy Valletta Hotel, Prime Minister Robert Abela met with hotel staff who expressed their enthusiasm for the resumption of the routine.
The four-star hotel is the largest in Valletta and is part of an ambitious project at the Embassy complex. With an investment of almost € 13 million, the project included an 11-storey renovation, with the Embassy hotel comprising 81 rooms, two restaurants, a bar, a meeting room, a rooftop swimming pool with temperature controlled for year-round use and fitness and beauty rooms.
Six cinemas have been housed on the ground floors, with a small one that can be rented as a private cinema and some other shops that have taken the opportunity to expand their space.
Prime Minister Robert Abela pointed out that while cautious because the pandemic has not passed, operators in the tourism sector also believe that a better time is coming.
“I have promised that our support as a government will remain there and that we should not be discouraged, as evidenced by the investment made in this complex,” said Prime Minister Abela.
Managing Director Bettina Azzopardi said that this project reflects the vision of the company to create the most modern and comfortable accommodation and recreation center in the center of Valletta.
“We are optimistic that now that the tourist market for Malta has reopened, the hotel will be the ideal place for those who will visit our country and want to discover more about our history and culture while experiencing life. in the capital. The demand we are having for hotel accommodation for the coming months is very encouraging, and we are expecting a very positive summer. In addition, the hotel together with the cinemas and other shops offer an opportunity for those Maltese who want to experience a different aspect in their country “, concluded Bettina Azzopardi.
