The Parliamentary Secretary for Sport, Recreation and Voluntary Organizations Clifton Grima, together with the Mayor of the Żejtun Local Council Doris Abela, inaugurated a beautification project accessible to all in Misraħ Mikiel Anton Vassalli in Żejtun , with an investment of around € 120,000, co-financed by SportMalta.
In addition to the renovation of the surrounding garden, the investment includes play equipment, a swing for the disabled, rubber flooring and new fencing around the same garden.
In his speech, Parliamentary Secretary Clifton Grima stressed that with this investment many families will benefit from this open space that has been abandoned for the last few years. While thanking SportMalta and the Żejtun Local Council for their valuable work, he stressed that SportMalta is carrying out the assessment of different sites around Malta and Gozo to transform them and serve as a recreation for the whole family.
