The National Youth Parliament is an annual event by KNŻ and has been organised for the past 19 years.
NYP gives the opportunity to youths aged between 13 – 35 to join themed ‘parties’ and draft their resolution, culminating in a session in parliament in which the motion is presented, debated and voted upon.
The themes for this year are:
For under 16s: – Hunting and animal rights- Public Spaces for Recreational Use.
For over 17s:- Parliamentary Reform from Election to the Legislature – Church and State: Should there be a state religion? – Agriculture and Food Safety.
Prior to the actual plenary in parliament, various workshops are organized by KNŻ to help participants develop their skills. Ultimately, the resolutions are presented to the Prime Minister, the Opposition Leader, the President.
