With an investment of € 45,000 the Ministry for Gozo will be financing a new multi-sensory room for the Arka Foundation which offers a service and shelter for the disabled.
This was announced at a press conference by the Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri, in which the agreement for this project was signed with the Director of Dar Arka, Fr Michael Galea.
Minister Camilleri noted how many regeneration works are currently underway in this house, in order to be able to offer the best services to its residents who have various disabilities. Here he stressed how “the Ministry for Gozo has always worked to see the strengthening of social justice in this island and therefore never hesitate to be a financial support for foundations and associations such as Dar Arka.”
For his part, the Director of Dar Arka, Fr Michael Galea, thanked the Ministry for Gozo for once again offering its helping hand to this house. He explained how the Multi-Sensory Room is very important for the therapy process of people with disabilities, as it among others offers them an interactive, recreational and even educational environment.
At the end of the conference, Minister Clint Camilleri thanked the management and all the workers of Dar Arka for all they are doing for the most vulnerable in society, even as in times of pandemic they also had face different and difficult challenges.
