Interior, National Security and Law Enforcement Minister Byron Camilleri along with Parliamentary Secretary for Citizenship and Communities Alex Muscat inaugurated the new Public Registry and Passport offices in -Marsa.
In the past few days the work on the part of both departments continued as the public began to take advantage of this new building. The need for the agency to move from Evans Building to a new building has long been felt, especially when the building no longer serves the agency’s functions in view of the increasing demand for the services offered by these departments. . For this reason, the Identity Malta agency has recognized the need to relocate to a more modern, equipped and accessible building as befits the public service and the workforce.
In his address, the Minister for the Interior, National Security and Law Enforcement Byron Camilleri reiterated that Identity Malta is another important link in the field of the interior and security of our country. “Our country cannot have a strong internal sector if it does not continue to improve, strengthen and modernize those aspects for which Identity Malta is responsible. Therefore the Government is showing that it is ready to improve and strengthen the services offered by this Agency, “explained Minister Camilleri.
Parliamentary Secretary for Citizenship and Communities Alex Muscat stressed that the opening of the new offices in Marsa will continue to demonstrate the Agency’s vision to continue to expand its operations and provide the best service. possible to all those who make use of the services it offers. Mr Muscat claimed that this new office will be providing a more centralized service where the public will be served by a more modern location and workers will work from a better equipped location.
