Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne, along with Parliamentary Secretary for Citizenship and Communities Alex Muscat, officially inaugurated a health centre in Gudja.
This centre will be open daily from Monday to Friday and will offer different services every day to the residents of Gudja and the surrounding areas. Among the services that will be offered in this centre are the family doctor’s clinic, the nursing clinic, the physiotherapy clinic, the podiatry clinic and the blood collection.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne spoke of the Government’s policy of investing in more modern and equipped outbuildings in the community as they are an important tool in the health field as they are first contact the patient. Clinics scattered throughout Malta and Gozo are also playing an important role in our fight against Covid-19, as they are being used as vaccination centers,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the NDSF for the financial support offered, which is assisting the Ministry of Health to implement the ambitious plan to modernize the aubergine and Health Centers across Malta and Gozo.
For his part, Parliamentary Secretary for Citizenship and Communities Alex Muscat said that opening a health aubergine in Gudja is doubly satisfying: both because it is responsible for the communities, and because it community care is possible thanks to the National Social and Development Fund ( NDSF).
