A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the burning of an officer’s vehicle at the Corradino Correctional Facility.
The incident happened during the night of the 24th to the 25th of January, in Triq San Edward, Qormi.
From the investigations carried out by the Major Crimes Squad, together with officers from Qormi District police were able to identify the person who allegedly set fire to the car. While arrested at the Qormi Police Station, the man allegedly injured a police sergeant.
The man is being held at the lock-up in the Police Headquarters, Floriana, and is expected to be brought to Court today.
