Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects Ian Borg announced a landscaping project of around €300,000 in an open space inside Triq il-Mitħna, Żebbuġ. This will be another project from a network of community-friendly projects with works conducted by the Public Works Department.
Minister Ian Borg said, “Working in communities remains one of our highest priorities. This is another clear proof of a government with a clear vision to work for its communities. With these projects across the country, we are providing more spaces and opportunities for people to spend their free time. It is also important to say that alongside the great investments we are making to see substantial improvement in the quality of life of the people, we have these community investments that are just as important and as a government, it remains a priority to maintain our commitment to continue delivering beautiful and safe open spaces to our communities”.
This project will include recreation areas to reach different ages. It is expected to include infrastructural and levelling works, a rainwater management system, tree planting, lighting installation, new benches, and a bicycle parking area.
