Wifi service in government nursing homes

Ongoing work is underway to equip all government nursing homes with wifi service by the end of March 2021. Wifi service will be in all rooms with a view to more seniors use the internet and other computer tools while being able to keep in closer contact with their relatives.

Just today the wifi service is being announced in the old people’s home in Mtarfa which hosts 123 elderly people. From today, with this initiative, all seniors will enjoy this service in all their rooms instead of only in the common areas.

While the installation in the old people’s home in Floriana started yesterday, the installations in the old people’s homes in Mosta, Mellieħa, Żejtun, Cospicua and Zammit Clapp will continue.

The Minister for the Elderly and Active Aging Michael Farrugia said that just as an evaluation of all the services that fall under the hood of the elderly and active aging has just been carried out, all the necessary work is being done to improvements on what is already good as well as necessary development and change for today’s times.
