Dr Rebekah Tanti-Dougall has been appointed Secretary of the European Network of Civil Aviation Safety Investigation Authorities (ENCASIA). This was after she was nominated for this role by the Chief Inspector of the Bureau of Air Accident Investigation (BAAI Malta), Captain Frank Zammit.
Dr Tanti-Dougall has been selected by the European Safety Investigation Authorities and will be serving in this role for the next three years. From his end, Remi Jouty, the Chairperson of ENCASIA, said that the experience and legal basis that Dr Rebekah Tanti-Dougall has will be of great benefit to ENCASIA.
As part of her work, Dr Tanti-Dougall will be responsible for coordinating the meetings within ENCASIA, the agendas of the plenary meeting in Brussels, the coordination of the existing working groups within ENCASIA, and external communication with other civil aviation organisations such as ICAO and EASA.
Over the last few years Dr Rebekah Tanti-Dougall served as a legal adviser within BAAI Malta.
Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects Ian Borg congratulated Dr Rebekah Tanti-Dougall for this new role she will be occupying.
