A 29-year-old Syrian ma, who lives in Zebbug, was taken to Mater Dei Hospital after allegedly being attacked in Mosta.
The attack happened in Triq il-Kappar at around 10pm Tuesday.
His injuries were described as serious.
Police are searching for the other man involved in the attack.
