Minister for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government José Herrera today met with Lawrence Renes who has been confirmed as Cultural Ambassador for Music. Lawrence Renes is a Dutch-Maltese conductor of international fame who has conducted several orchestras over the years in various countries around the world.
During the meeting, Minister Herrera and Ambassador Renes discussed the methods and direction of how to carry out a cultural outreach with various countries which have already shown interest in collaborating with us in this field. Minister Herrera explained that the cultural field is also an essential and effective tool in the diplomatic field.
Minister Herrera wished Ambassador Renes every success in his endeavours.
