Prime Minister Robert Abela today said that there will not be an early general election.
He was speaking at a Labour Party event in Mellieha.
The Prime Minister spoke of the government’s measures to fight the Covid-19 virus saying that those had saved business’s and jobs.
Despite the pandemic, Malta had worked tirelessly to minimise the effects of the coronavirus and government efforts were recognised by the financial assessment of “A high” by DBRS.
With schools reopening tomorrow the prime minister praised the efforts of educators and medical staff in getting students back to school safely.
Prime Minister Abela acknowledged the difficulties of 2020 but believed that the coming year would bring brighter prospects for Malta.
