Two men have been arrested in connection with an assault on an elderly man and the theft of his mobile phone.
The 67-year-old was assaulted by two people on Friday, January 1st, at around 5 p.m.
Police investigations led to officers from the Major Crimes Squad to stop two suspecst in a car near Triq is-Salib tal-Marsa.
The men, a 42-year-old from Gzira and a 33-year-old from Wied il-Għajn, are behing held in custody and are expected to appear in court shortly.
