Three people are being held in lock-up at Police Headquarters in connection with an argument that took place in Cospicua late last night.
Police say that a firearm was discharged during the argument between the men, two Maltese and two foreign nationals.
No-one was injured in the incident.
The incident happened in Triq id-Dejqa at around 9pm.
In the house of one of those involved, a 55-year-old man, police found a firearm believed to have used during the argument.
Drugs were found in the residence of two brothers, who were also involved.
