“We will always find the cooperation of the ministry to see how to attract more students to the engineering profession,” said Education Minister Justyne Caruana during a meeting held today with the Chamber of Engineers.
Minister Caruana and representatives of the Chamber of Engineers, chaired by the President of the Chamber Dr Ing. Daniel Micallef, discussed various topics related to this profession, including the career and situation of engineering students.
Ways to attract more students to the profession have been mentioned in various ways, with the full cooperation of the ministry.
The minister said that in an ever-changing world, education must also continue to see to it that it trains more students who will meet the demand at the technical level and according to the infrastructure and economy of the country. .
Minister Caruana said that education is one of the main pillars in the country that leads us to a healthy economy in the long run, which is why we must continue to train our children to be prepared for the workplace and what this sector needs.
In this regard, she said that her commitment is to increase work on educational infrastructure, so that it can be further modernized, not only in the building infrastructure, but in particular in how we are preparing the our students to the world of work, against the background of the government’s visionary framework for the economy that takes us for another five, ten and twenty years.
