The head of the WHO branch in Europe impressed with Malta

Upon the arrival of the first delivery of the COVID-19 vaccine, the Head of the WHO Branch in Europe, Hans Kluge, sent congratulations to Malta for the way in which it has managed to get the same treatment they enjoy as the bigger European countries.

Kluge wrote to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne and said that he is impressed with the amount of vaccines that Malta has managed to acquire and with the speed with which they will begin to arrive in the country,

He claimed that this is a testament to the wise leadership of the Maltese Government and recalled that it was Chris Fearne himself who paved the way for the joint European purchase of medicines when the discussion began for the first time during the Maltese Presidency of the European Union back in 2017.
