Sliema Wanderers have gone two points clear at the top of the BOV Premiership after a thrilling 4-2 win over Zejtun Corinthians.
Cisotti gave Sliema the lead inside the opening ten minutes. Zejtun drew level just before the half hour when Carabott netted the first of his two goals. The lead was short-lived as Da Silva Ribeiro struck to put Sliema back in front at the break.
Zejtun went in front for a second time when Carabott struck on the hour mark but Slieam hit back with goals from Linton and Shaw to wrap up the win and the three points to go top of the table.
Hibernians had little difficulty seeing off neighbours Sta Lucia with Laukzemis’s hat-trick rounding off a much improved performance by Hibernians who go second behind Sliema.
The chasing pack of five clubs seperated by only three points.
