Joseph Cuschieri, the former Chief Executive of the MFSA, has resigned ahead of an investigation into a trip he made to Las Vegas in the company of Yorgen Fenech.
Cuschieri, together with the MFSA’s legal counsel Edwina Licari, is reported to have travelled with Yorgen Fenech in May 2018, the trip paid for by Fenech.
Joseph Cuschieri said he went on the trip to consult on the gaming sector.
Fenech is in custody charged with being the mastermind behind the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia. A charge he denies.
