The Ministry of Health has confirmed that five elderly people died after testing positive for Covid-19.
In the first case, a 76-year-old man, who was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on 6 November, died yesterday at the Gozo General Hospital.
In the second case, a 75-year-old woman, who tested positive for Covid-19 on November 11, died yesterday at the Good Samaritan Long Term Care Facility.
In the third case, an 83-year-old man, who tested positive for Covid-19 on November 2, died earlier today at the Good Samaritan Long Term Care Facility.
In the fourth case, an 82-year-old man, who tested positive for Covid-19 on November 11, died earlier today at Mater Dei Hospital.
In the fifth case, an 88-year-old man, who tested positive for Covid-19 on November 16, died earlier today at Mater Dei Hospital.
The Ministry of Health, while offering its condolences to the families of the elderly, calls for everyone to follow preventive measures, thus protecting the most vulnerable in our society.
