Finance Minister Edward Scicluna has quashed media reports that he is about to resign.
In a post on social media he wrote:
Every year after every successful budget of a Labor Government, the Opposition has always created an incident or news to distract the attention of Maltese and Gozitans from it.
Today the fake news on the front page of the Times is no exception. Ignore it.
A clear sign that the speeches of the Leader of the Opposition and that of the Prime Minister have thrown them overboard. They don’t know what to do.
