Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri has launched the project to install a new lighting system in Vjal it-Tmienja ta ‘Settembru in Xaghra.
Minister Camilleri explained that this project, with a value of more than € 150,000, consisted of “the replacement of 33 conventional style lamps that were installed years ago and that had deteriorated over the years for street lamps. a more modern and appropriate style for today’s times with energy-saving lighting and therefore less light pollution.
The Mayor of Xaghra Christian Zammit said that certainly this project was appropriate for the main entrance of the locality of Xaghra while thanking the Minister for Gozo for the continuous help he gives to beautify and modernize the localities.
The project was co-financed by the Eco-Gozo Directorate within the Ministry for Gozo (€ 100,000) and the Xaghra Local Council (€ 50,000).
