The rumour mill is working overtime after no nomination was submitted to contest the parliamentary seat from the second district vacated by Joseph Muscat.
Speculation that MEP Miriam Dalli could leave Brussels and return home to join Prime Minister Roberta Abela’s government has sparked media frenzy.
Miriam Dalli has proved to be a valuable asset for Malta within Brussels and is a highly respected member of the European Parliament.
Should she return to take a seat in parliament she will without a doubt be a much valued addition to the Labour government.
