The Ministry of Health has just been informed that two elderly people, who were residents in two separate nursing homes, died after testing positive for Covid-19.
The first case was a 91-year-old man who tested positive for Covid-19 on September 14. He continued to be treated until he died late last night.
The second case concerns a 73-year-old woman who tested positive for Covid-19 on 15 September. She continued to be treated until she died overnight.
Both had further health conditions.
The Ministry of Health, while offering condolences to the relatives of the elderly, calls on the people to continue to follow the appeals of the Department of Health, including frequent hand washing, id social distance and mask use.
