A 49-year-old man from Mosta has been arrested after investigations by the Qormi District Police revealed he was the alleged robber in the theft of digging machinery from a construction site in Triq l-Erba’ Qaddisin, Qormi.
During the course of investigations, the police received information that the machinery could be at a farm in Mtaħleb, in the limits of Rabat. The Qormi District Police together with Officers from the Rabat District Police, Rapid Intervention Unit (RIU) and Major Crimes & Security Department went to the farm and found the machinery and the man. From a search inside the farm, the police also found vehicles, some of them dismantled, which were reported stolen between March and July, 2020.
