The Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Carmelo Abela, under whose responsibility, among others, there is the national broadcasting, met with the new PBS board at their first formal meeting since their appointment. for the next three years, at the PBS Creativity Hub, G’Mangia.
In a short address, before continuing with their meeting, the Minister stressed two priorities: quality and inclusiveness in their broadest sense. “We must also give direction even in the sense that we continue to emphasize more quality, more diversity in the programs that are shown, so that we can take the company, the national station forward for the coming years”.
He said PBS stations must continue to evolve over time, stressing the need for a reform that reflects a leap in quality and inclusiveness. “I look forward to moving towards change, towards reform that is necessary for us to give direction to the national stations,” said Minister Abela.
