Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri and Parliamentary Secretary for Equality and Reform Rosianne Cutajar met with the LGBTIQ + community of Gozo.
At this meeting, the LGBTIQ Gozo organization spoke about the action plan for the coming year and the priorities of the LGBTIQ community in Gozo. They also referred to a study that took place in 2019 and listed several points that clearly show that in Gozo LGBTIQ + people find it much more difficult to express their gender and sexuality compared to Malta.
Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri said that after the action plan prepared by the same NGO was discussed, he will continue to look forward to further work in Gozo in order to offer more services to the LGBTIQ + community on our own island.
Parliamentary Secretary Cutajar reiterated the government’s commitment to the LGBTIQ + field and stressed that it will continue to work hard to ensure that the LGBTIQ + community in Gozo continues to receive the necessary attention and support.
